White Dress & Colourful Buttons

White & colourful Buttons

This is 2nd version of a dress I first made for my little girl.
We wore it to my sisters baptism in Hong Kong in June, (and while it was a little short to begin with, it doesn't not even cover her bottom at all!)

This dress I made for a friend, she has a lovely little girl.
I like the colourful buttons, they add a sense of mischief and adventure to the dress - and I think all children are a bit naughty in the best of ways.

Just like when my girl is whining and crying in the middle of the night, and in the morning when I tell her that she is a "big girl" and shouldn't cry like that at night...she lies on me and says :"baby not yet big girl".
I have no words left to respond to her perfect answers. Yes, she is still my little baby girl.

Oh...sorry I hate to iron so excuse the wrinkles!

  1. It's very cute. Those colourful buttons are a great touch! Did you use a red lining?

Children sometimes can baffle you completely, can't they. I love it when they answer like that. It makes me want to hug them even more :-)

  4. hi Karin! no I didn't line it at all, I used a bias on the ruffle sleeves. It makes it puff up a little bit more & it's simple enough :) Thank you for visiting <3
