Winter Hood
Here is a little hooded cape for my girl, except the hood is pretty large...so large it fits me actually.
I figured it is always winter in during Chinese New Year's so why not make her something warm and red to wear (since that is the colour good luck I think)
The whole thing is fully reversible (again!) I don't know why I like to do that so much. :)
The tartan is a flannel fabric and the red is a wool blend, so putting the two fabrics together makes this item quite thick and heavy. I also had some extra cotton batting from the quilt I was making, so I decided to stitch in between the two fabrics to make it even warmer for her to wear. Of course, I did not realize that it would make the fabric stand up a bit more and so she looks really quite funny I think.
Maybe it can double as a Halloween costume?
