Hanging Crib Pouch

Here is a little pouch to hang by her bedside. Originally intended to be filled with books for our story time, it has now become handy to keep her bottle of water, and various other toys so that she can stay entertained in the mornings while mommy gets an extra 5 to 10 minutes. 

The back fabric (on the reverse side) is a heavy dark denimn, and the front is a pre-quilted print of a little red riding hood in with trees around her. I like the way it looks, and I think the polka dots work well. The only thing is the pockets are a bit too large..I will probably redo it with a shorter piece of elastic when I feel like it one day.

Its not a very winter project, but I like that it is useful & my girl enjoys putting things in the pockets. 

I think it is a easy item to make and a nice gift too. I can see it working very well for little boys with rocket and car prints. In the meantime, hope you have a lovely weekend.
