Summer Dress, shirred

Red summer dress

Hi Everyone 

I am so excited about the upcoming summer, 

or maybe it's because I really like to make summer dresses! 

Here is a little red mini polka dot print for the big little girl 

I have to get her in it to show it you, otherwise it kind of looks like it could be for me too!! 

It was a pattern of a top, but I'm not very good at following instructions....

So it turned into a dress.

And then I added some elastic thread and shirred a few rows on top 

and I couldn't stop myself 

Soon I added the waist, 

and to help me tell front from back 

I added the little rose in the front. 

I really like the end result

I would definitely want to make more, 

but what colours do you think they should come in? 

Oh...I want to go fabric shopping.

Ps. We have a long weekend coming up.........hope it brings with it lots of yummy things to eat!
