Maxi pregnancy dress & a mini version too!
Hi Everyone.
Can you believe it's almost the end of August, where did the summer go??
I also cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has been,
for which I am very grateful actually, even though it's about time to get that hospital bag packed!
I'm 34 weeks this week and well I have to say I'm not sure I feel it yet,
but already I can definitely tell it's a different baby to my first one!
Here is my attempt at a maxi dress, I've found that since being pregnant -
These have become my absolute favourite wardrobe item.
They are sooooooo comfy, and easy to dress up.
Not with heels unfortunately but earrings or bracelets.
Plus I like how relaxing and laid back they look; even though I live in a fast paced city.
So, here is one I made myself!
I really like the print and the cotton, it's super soft.
I used a total of just under 2Y's with a tiny bit left over.
And then, I made hers.
Mine measures 90cm in length with a 8 cm ruffle,
I'm pretty sure I will have to shorten it once the big bump goes away.
The waistband is 85 all around and I cast an elastic for a bit more stretch.
Oh, it was actually a lot easier to construct than I imagined and took a total of 1 and a half nights.
Hers of course was way faster!
So here we are wearing the same dress....... Hee hee.
Guess girls will always play dress up.
Have a good week!
