Gingham Tote

Hi Everyone 

How is your week going? 

This is my latest sewing craze....I seem to be sewing anything that is circular, or anything that is square. 

 Confused? Me too! 

I guess it translates into the circular items are coasters or flowers,

and the square things  are  little bags / totes.

This is a super super simple sew. 

The part that really takes time is sewing in the handles by hand.... 

I haven't sewn anything by hand for so long, it actually really hurts pushing  the needle in & out!! 

I need a thimble! 

I used bought handles instead of just webbing, 

I like it it makes it slightly sturdier.

I also added a strap in the middle for closure, 

usually I just leave these type of bags open.. but I wanted to try something new without too much risk. 

The middle white button is just for decoration, 

it actually has magnetic buttons to hold it down. 

The perfect little item for a quick stop anywhere, 

Also...it has a lovely light summery feel which just brightens up my day, or outfit!!
