Fabric Lollipops & Flag Garlands Decorations

Fabric Decorations

The past weekend was all about celebrating & cakes & balloons & screaming playing kiddies.
You guessed it, it was a birthday party!!
My little girl turned 3.

Gosh, it is such a big difference from 2.
I remember last year's party, but this year was waaay more wild with kids running and playing.
I guess they all grew up!

I've been preparing for a few weeks, nothing serious...just playing with ideas here and there
The above is the result. Little fabric lollipops.
I love love love them.
At first they were flowers and my girl used to throw them around the house,
but then I added a back and left a gap open at the bottom to place some flat ice cream sticks in.
I wrapped some styrofoam & placed them in.
And... Fabric lollipops!!
They're very easy & fun to make as each one is different,
hopefully I'll get a quick tutorial up.

The colourful paper flower decorations are store bought,
they're very easy to make. You simply pull them out and you get some pretty flowers.

And finally, I sewed some flag garlands (last pix above)
I used 6 different colours / prints & repeated it once.
That is about long enough to hang.
Also, I tried to not make it "too girly"
as I wanted it to be more neutral.

I love garlands,
I love how many types of combinations you can come up with.
And of course, it's very very easy to sew~!
Hope you had a great weekend and an even better one to come!
Love
