Winter Courdrey Dress
Hi Everyone,
We had a long weekend here which really did feel long especially since it rained most of the time.
Lately I've had a very hard time finding my "groove" or mojo perhaps in regards of getting back into sewing
This was not planned and somehow as the days went on, I simply fell out of practice
Sad, but also true.
However, it remains one of my first loves in life.
Even though I haven't been able to fill my head or her closet with new items of colours & prints,
I did manage this.
The fabric is a soft courdrey but I think the pattern makes it quite cosy for a winter outfit.
I traced one of her summer tank tops and widened it out on both sides to give it more of a flare,
then I made an opening about 10cm long down the middle back and re-attached another piece
to make the closure.
It was my first time doing that and it wasn't too hard but could get a bit messy.
The only downside its it's a tad small....so she won't be getting much wear-ability out of it.
Hopefully this will jumpstart my creativity again,
oh but first......
I will need to clean up my sewing space.
It has been taken over by a whole bunch of over due paperwork!
Have a upcoming great weekend!
