Spring Skirt

Spring is finally here!
We've been going to the park So much more recently,
She's also been learning to ride her push bike and is getting better & braver at riding it.
Most days though she just wants to climb the ladder and play on the swings.

Here is a little skirt for spring, it's less full than a circle skirt.
It's a very quick and easy project.
Something I need just to ease me into sewing again.

Take your fabric and cut two rectangles (Length = 35cm, Width = 55cm or depends on your child)
Make sure the fabric is facing each other (print to print)
Then sew them down on both sides.

Take the top and fold it over 5 ~ 7cm
Sew that down and leave a space so that you can cast your elastic in
Once that's done you can close that up.
Take a look here if you need more details.
And finally the hem, I like to iron it down first so I don't really pin it and then just sew it all the way around.
If it's too long, sometimes I hem it up by hand.......but that's only sometimes.
Oh, final touch - I added a little ribbon in the front so she can tell the front from the back.
Easy!
