Baking Time : Olive Bread

Olive Bread

Hi Everyone, how is your day, week, moments coming along?
I say "moments" because sometimes I really don't know where all the time went and can only start to piece my day together by remembering the bits and pieces of it.
Hmmm, not sure if that sounds assuring at all.

Okay, but on to the picture above.
Has baking bread ever intimidated you?
It definately has been a thing I've wanted to try but never really went for it.
So after a few podcasts and internet searches, this is what I set my tastebuds on.

Olive Bread.
The receipe is here, ( I love All.Recipes, I end up using them for most things)
And by the way, in the midst of my searching, I found some pretty amazing sites.
Take a look.
I really like this one called the daily bread,
and although I didn't follow her recipe on it, wathcing the video's helped me understand some terms and basic steps to take before I actually tried it myself.

So here it is, my first olive bread.
For the bread shapes, I found this cool site which helped me decide on which one to pick.
I picked the baguette shape as I wasn't sure how a boule would turn out.
I had fun carving the lines into the dough,
I totally understand the appeal of play dough for kids now!

I wanted to share this because if there is something you want to try, but are not sure how...
I say Try it,
you just might surprise yourself !
I did.
And surprises are good right?

Oh ps. my little girl is at full day school this week, and I must say that it was easier to take this on without the helpful hands of a 3 year old.
