Zebra Print Maxi Dress

Here we go again, I love love maxi dresses.

Anyone else?

I really truly fell in love with them when I was pregnant with my 2nd child last summer.

They were sooo comfy and felt very secure to wear & it also wasn't too hot to wear as I was in my 3rd trimester during  the hottest days.

This really soft cotton was picked out by my sister actually and in fact it is made for her.

Muah, thanks for letting me borrow it~ 

And great job on picking the print! The horizontal stripes are really very flattering.

It's a more simple design than this one as there is no elastic running through under the bust,

but actually I made the whole thing too wide on purpose and simple shirred an elastic in the middle.

At first I shirred too much and my sister told me it would pull the top down by the armholes,

so I undid it (gently, as a hole is unfixable) and shirred it only under the bust area.

I can't wait to go back to the fabric market and get more...

Maybe a long tunic for me next time ?

I love how one project can spur on more creativity for the next.
