:: Blue Colour Block Dress ::

Her blue Two Tone Dress 

Here we are! 

A blue dress to pick you up when you do feel kind of blue. 

I know it is sometimes frowned upon for little girls to wear "long" dresses, 

but she really likes them and is still able to be very active in them. 

I had this stretchy blue knit for a maternity top I made for a friend, and only just enough 

left throw away as scrap or turn into this....

Well  of course this!

Both fabrics are stretchy jersey, the darker blue in front has more stretch. 

It's a very straight forward cut, like a tank top then extend all the way down. 

I like the look, I think it's simple and quite modern too. 

Not a very typical little girls outfit.

I took an extra piece and gathered it to make the ruffle detail along the front

then to finish it off  I took out some beads and added some colour. 

Sometimes I find a little needle work can be very relaxing. 

Does that make me sound like an old Grandma? 

I tried to get a picture of her in it to show you the front and back of the dress, 

this is the best I could do.
